What is a hollow fiber filter?

The hollow fiber filter uses a cluster of fibrous hoses. Water is drawn through the walls of the hoses either by suction or by pressure applied in squeezing the bottle. Because the fibers allow only molecules 2/10 micron or less to pass through, sediment, bacteria, protozoa, cysts and the like are unable to follow the water into the hoses. Once the water enters the hoses, it travels quickly to the opening of the bottle, making drinking safe and effortless.
